LAST PRINTING OF THE GILDED REVERIE LENORMAND COLLECTOR'S EDITION

This Wednesday, January 9, 2013, Ciro Marchetti will be releasing his third and final print of the special, self-published collector's edition of his Gilded Reverie Lenormand Tarot.  Put your finger on the trigger and be ready and waiting on his website on Wednesday, as this is a deck you do NOT want to miss. THIS IS CIRO'S LAST DECK CREATION, EVER

Not only is this his last printing of this deck, but Ciro has also (sadly for us) announced that he will no longer be making any further decks (tarot, oracle, or otherwise), and will be moving on to other projects. What an amazing gift to us as a community that he gave so much of himself, raised the bar for quality in oracle decks, and created art with such detail, precision, light, and realism. He has changed the face of tarot in so many ways, and increased our expectations for quality through his  tarot and card-image products. Nothing spells "gorgeous, rich, lush cartomancy" like his work, made with passion and precision.

While Ciro will not be producing any more decks, his wife, Maria Marchetti, will  continue to produce his gorgeous reading cloths, which have been selling quite steadily, also available at his website at ciromarchetti.com/Reading_Cloths.html. 

CIRO'S 2 FREE DOWNLOADS ABOUT THE LENORMAND

1) There is a free downloadable PDF on Ciro's Lenormand page to explain the meanings of each of the cards in his Gilded Reverie deck. Be sure to check this out! Yes, I said FREE! Card definitions are provided by Lenormand experts Rana George and Tali Goodwin. Go to theapp store and search "Lenormand" to find it.

2) Also, there is a FREE iBook available on iTunes (if you have an iPod or iPad) that has more than just the card meanings. This is a more detailed document that includes the card meanings, Lenormand Spread ideas, how to do a Grand Tableau, some history on Mlle Lenormand, and more! To find the book, go to the iTunes app store, and go to ALL CATEGORIES, choose "books" and search "gilded reverie."

LENORMAND APP READY AND COMING!

Next Tuesday, January 8th, the Gilded Reverie Lenormand app is scheduled for release! This is the first real Lenormand app ever to exist.  It is now being prepared for the Android market and other devices such as Kindle, etc. Hopefully by the end of the month, you'll see the app on these platforms as well.

The Gilded Reverie app contains the same custom flexibility as Ciro's previous apps. Whatever your spread preference, you can create it here; you will not be locked into canned spreads. This app is probably the most sophisticated app of this genre. It offers you the ability to generate a card of the day, or review each card individually. Each card can be flipped to reveal its basic description and meaning which were provided by renowned and experienced figures in the Lenormand community, Tali Goodwin and Rana George.

The app includes high resolution files of these striking card images, ensuring that the detail and color of the original artwork is faithfully maintained even when zoomed in and displayed at several times the size of the actual deck. Also included are the two traditional Grand Tableau spread configurations. When either of these are selected, the cards are dealt automatically (fast!). When pressed, each card will reveal and display a reference of its corresponding "House" placement which is positioned directly below.

In the reading section you can choose from a number of spreads or create your own and save them for future use. You can also add your own notes for any reading and save them to a journal for future access and reference. These notes can also be e-mailed along with a screen captures of the corresponding reading spread to clients or friends, directly from your iPad.

Preferences include the use of either the standard 36 cards of the Lenormand system, or the option to override them by substituting additional Man/Woman cards, or "Owls" in place of "Birds"

An app for the Oracle of Visions is also being produced. Like the Gilded Reverie app mentioned above, it also is being  prepared for the Android market and other devices such as Kindle etc etc. This will also hopefully be ready by the end of the month.

ARTISTIC SURPRISES IN THIS GILDED REVERIE LENORMAND, COLLECTOR'S EDITION

Ciro has altered the colors or designs on 13 of the cards in his Gilded Reverie Lenormand deck. Then he mixed the cards by hand into different deck combinations so that the odds of any two decks being the same are about 1 in 8,000. What are the stylistic differences? Well, I'm sworn by oath not to divulge all of them, but I can share about 5 of them here with you. Ciro prefers to keep the mystery, and I know I personally spent an afternoon perusing the 2 copies of his Lenormand deck his that I have, browsing through his Lenormand PDF book, and reviewing as many online pictures as I could find to see if I could figure out the differences. I found many of them, but some still stymied me!

Note that not only are the colors different, but the directionality of things may change, the background content might shift a bit, and in some cards the number of items in the background also shifts (in images that may not be displayed here).

WHERE'S WALDO?

As if that weren't interesting enough, there is also a bit of a clever game sprinkled throughout the cards. Every single one of the cards has the author's initials, CM, tucked SOMEWHERE within the image. It is usually embedded in the actual image itself, becoming a part of the character, landscape, foliage, or some other expressive tidbit where one would never notice the initials unless looking for them. This creates a fun meditative afternoon activity to look for the puzzle in each card. This is such a VERY clever and super-fun way to sign an illustration! This would keep the kids busy for quite awhile!

EXTRA CARDS

The Gilded Reverie Collector's edition also features  bonus cards. Rather than one Man/Woman card combination, there are TWO of each: two Woman cards, and two Man cards, perfect for same-sex reading questions. There are two Birds cards from which to choose in any reading you do. There are also four additional cards not available in other Lenormand decks. These are TIME, BRIDGE, DICE, and MASK.

CIRO'S OTHER DECKS

Ciro's decks include the ever-popular Gilded Tarot, which he updated recently to the Gilded Royale Tarot, to update the cards with more detail and realism now that digital technology has allowed him to do more with the images than when his first version of the deck came out. The Gilded Tarot is one of the most beloved tarot decks of all times. He also created the Tarot of Dreams, the Legacy of the Divine Tarot (a personal favorite of mine), The Oracle of Visions, and now the Gilded Reverie Lenormand. Not to mention the numerous tarot banners, posters, spread cloths, trinket boxes, and other worldly wonders Ciro has created that have also taken the tarot world by storm. He has truly left an enormous impression on the world of tarot.
