YOUR TAROT BLOG Can Win a Prize!

Posted on December 22, 2011 at 8:50 AM

YES, SUBMIT YOUR TAROT BLOG TO WIN A PRIZE!

(feel free to cross-post)

I want to put together a Best Blog of 2011 round-up!

And I want to see YOUR BEST BLOG of 2011.

You know your blogs best.

What single Tarot Blog did YOU write in 2011 that was most important, meaningful, fun, educational, or insightful?

What To Do:

(please read all 4 rules carefully)

In the comment section on this page, do the following:

  1. Please post one link to your own single blog post (one entry per person)
  2. BRIEFLY describe your blog's topic and very small (1-2 sentence) summary of it.
  3.  Briefly explain why you feel this blog stands out from your other blog posts.
  4. Yep, you have to choose your own blog post, not someone else's. But you CAN encourage someone else to submit their own post.

What we're not looking for: A link to a general blogging site.

What we are looking for: One single tarot blog post YOU wrote.

One entry per person.

No, you do not need to be a well-known tarot reader to submit your entry.

Any tarot-themed blog post you created is welcome.

PRIZES!

The Top 3 Blogs will win:

  1. 1st prize wins a $20 gift certificate to The Tarot Garden, $10 gift certificate for each of the two 2nd prize choices
  2. Top 3 choices win a hand made tarot pouch by me with a charm on the pouch.
  3. And, if you wish, the top 3 winners are invited to join us on Beyond Worlds - Your Tarot Tribe to promote your blog and share the honorable mention post with our listeners (and you can promote your webpage while on!).

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Winner to be announced New Year's Eve Day.

Entries must be posted by midnigth December 24th, 2011.

I'll have additional tarotists helping me vote for the winner, to make sure the blog holds group interest.

Help me pick a winner!

Do you want to help vote?

Email me tarottribe@gmail.com

and put "VOTE" in the subject line.

Here's wishing you an entry of tarot-filled wonder!

Warmly,

http://tarotbyhilary.com/2011/10/bullying-not-just-a-childhood-pr
oblem/
My tarot blog post is about Bullying. I wrote it in October for National Bullying Prevention Month, but I really wanted to emphasize that bullying should not be treated as just a childhood playground problem. It happens to adults, it's not a "phase", and it happens ALL THE TIME. I also include a tarot spread I created to deal with a bullying situation.
My blog stands out from the rest because whenever I complain about something, I always want to offer a solution to the problem. I don't want to complain for the sake of complaining. I want to offer change from a seemingly cyclical situation, like bullying. Since I believe that tarot is an excellent way to establish what patterns of thinking are in place, I knew that tarot would be able to help in a bullying situation.

Shivaya Wellness 6/27/11 post: "When A Read Goes South and How to Dig Out"
http://shivayawellness.com/2011/06/27/when-a-read-goes-south-and-
how-to-dig-out

My post talks about what to do when you're an experienced Tarot reader and your session starts to bomb.

This is a real occurrence for Tarot readers, no matter how long in the trade. Also, it's good to show that I'm human and can easily screw-up a session -- but also be professional, not give up and bring the focus back on the client. Healers need to be open about their failures -- and this is one of my best.

How I learned to express anger while seeking joy in an effort to stay authentic.

I think this is a personal best this year because several other readers picked up the post to do the spread on their own blogs.

How our culture of valuing only "positive" experiences influences our card interpretations, causing us to put bandaids on our clients rather than delving into the dark areas where actual healing occurs.

First, thanks for this reason to review my past posts. I forgot about some that I really loved! It was hard for me to pick one, but I chose this one because I think it is the most widely applicable among tarot readers, brings in how our larger culture shapes our readings, and is kind of humorous.

My tarot post is actually a new tarot column I began, that was inspired by the card of the week I've been pulling for my online community. The post is a monthly tarot scope, offering a message for each of the sun signs through the lens of the Tarot. I thought it was a fun way to give people an energetic peek into the month ahead using tarot guidance.

Have a happy holiday!

2. The post refers to a tarot reading about a murder, with repercussion in the Brazilian media. Where the Major Arcana, The Hanged Man, is discussed with emphasis and uncover the case.

3. Why highlight the death and the tarot card killer.

Direct from Brazil. My tarot blog. Posting my own.

Tarot Blog Contest Submittal:
http://jordanhoggard.wordpress.com/2011/04/09/death-as-the-master
-gardener-a-little-extra-to-chew-on-bonus/

This blog presents the Death card as an experiential sandbox. The Death card is a difficult card for many, and though the blog is not any end-all be-all solution, the hope was that this blog might help others overcome their difficulty with it.

It stands out from my other blog posts as one of the best of my Themed Personifications series. Cards don big, conceptual characters as in a play, where their story can take us places where we discover inner inheritances, new treasures right there within ourselves.

I have a few post that I did this year that I really like but i have to say that "The Hip Hop Guide To Being A Tarot Professional" is my favorite. There are not many posts that address the business side of tarot reading and I feel that makes my blog stand out - I'm not just writing about tarot cards, spreads and techniques - often I add commentary about things going on in the tarot community as well as what a tarot pro really needs to know. This makes my blog very unique.

I wrote a mini-story that illustrates how the energy of a Tarot card might manifest itself in the world: The Woman Who Loved Red Silk.

Wow, this was tough to do. Pick my own blog post that is.... I am not a big blogger, I really just wanted to get my journal in a digital format and to encourage others to have a Tarot Journal. I picked this blog post because it shows how I use my cards for personal healing and not just for readings.

My best Tarot blog post of the year was "Better the devil you know", exploring The Devil archetype in detail from different perspectives (nationalities and religions). I believe it stands out from my other Tarot posts because it is juicy, humorous, serious and of universal appeal. :)

An exploration of the Justice card and the lessons it teaches us. This blog is probably the best one I wrote simply because of the subject matter. The lesson of self acceptance that Justice teaches us is valuable to everyone as they journey down their life's path.
