"An identity would seem to be arrived at by the way in which the person faces and uses his experience."
James Baldwin
Today, draw one card from your favorite tarot or oracle and ask:

Who am I at my core?

SAMPLE READING:
I pulled a card from Kat Black's Golden Tarot
and I got The Magician.

I notice this Magician card is filled with animals, just like I am in my own life.
Animals abound and surround!
I'm abundantly surrounded, and create with my tools.
I feel possiblity and potential. I always believe.
Compassion and creation is at the core of what I do,
and I feel I can reach for infinity with the way I think.
We all can.
He seems to be giving a peace sign with one hand,
and I similarly wish peace for the world.
His other hand is open, a sign of oath or openness and honesty.
I promise and offer the world that as well.
He loves long flowy clothes with layers, too, just like me!
He's Key card #1, just like my Aries sign, the first sign of the Zodiac.
I never like to redo something that has been done already;
I need my work to be original. If it's been done, it's been done.
So that Magician's #1 has signifcant meaning to me in terms of the individual venture of trying things for the first time and trusting that it's okay -- even if no one has tried it before; everything is at our disposal to make it magic.
Funny, even the mug on this Magician's table looks just like my hug-a-mug, my favorite drinking cup, a gift from my sister. Perhaps a nod to my love of tea and cocoa, and my love of family and sister?

I do believe all things are possible, and that we create our own thoughts, lives, and dreams. I'm a perpetual optimist (though I've learned to see hard reality this year, which has further enhanced my view of the world by protecting myself).
But I also believe work is best done with others we love by our side,
even (for me) if it's the furry ones.
Who are you?
Warmly,
Donnaleigh
