"Christmas is the season when you buy this year's gifts
with next year's money."
Ah, the holidays. No matter which holiday you celebrate in December, it is a flurry of activity and sometimes it feels like a race to the finish line. Our culture has conditioned us to believe that the more we spend, the happier we'll be. The commercialism of the holidays has seeped into our very homes and stolen the quiet moments and connections that holidays could potentially provide.
So let's take a look at what the holidays should really bring.
What are the TOP 3 THINGS tarot suggests we focus on?
And the cards that arrived were:
1) Recognize where we have deceived ourselves with holiday madness.
Seek beyond impulses and learn where you've been kept in the dark by commercial retailers.
Leave behind at least one illusion (the moon in her sky) that you have created regarding the holiday frenzy.
Recognize how we have deceived ourselves about what is really important.
Spend time alone to go within and connect with your *inner* pull.
Be with those you feel most pulled to, like the tide.
Where is society pulling you, like the tide, to do what is no longer done with thought?
Sneak away from what is expected and do something meaninful.
Take a look at karmic relationships and what you have to learn from them.
Recognize how we are doing things automatically, things we no longer give any thought to, and in the process, have lost context or something important.
Recognize the illusions we carry with the holiday rush: does more really mean happier?
Recognize what makes us feel dark or less happy, and realize this is a secret that has been imposed on us that is not a reality.
2) Connect with the ones who are most important to you. The holidays are about people, love, and connections. Choose to focus on the people, not the things.
How can you choose free will rather than running on the auto-pilot of society?
Be free from guilt that society places on us; focus on messages of love and bringing those to others.
Hug someone you love.
Focus on spending time and space with those you love, less on spending money with them.
Rekindle a relationship you miss.
Strengthen the bond with someone: tell them something amazing about themself.
"Just Be" with them. Just be.
3) How can you make a positive impact on the world--
both your immediate world and the world at large?
Why are you in the world?
Are you conscious of why you're here, and are you doing it?
Get involved in something that would improve the world.
How can you feel joy for being alive? How can you bring this feeling to another person who needs it?
Where can you create boundaries that would thereby create joy?
How can you connect with your Divine Source?
How can you help provide something for the world?
If we put the 3 cards together,
and if the Moon is lack of light or too little light,
we quite literally seeing this spread saying:
What the WORLD needs now, is LOVE, sweet love.
It's the only think that there's just TOO LITTLE OF...
or "Too little....Love....In the World."
Here's wishing you a tarot-filled week full of the things that are *truly* meaningful.
