Which Tarot Card Are You?

thou seest a portion of genius;

lift up thy head"

William Blake (1757 - 1827)

where 37 Tarot bloggers all wrote on the same topic and linked to each other.

For this round of our Tarot Blog Hop,

all bloggers joined together to answer the question:

"Which Pentacles card of which deck

do you relate to right now?"

As I sit here with my feathered friend on my shoulder,

my answer is not hard to find.

We adopted Harley as a baby shortly after 9/11, when our house seemed too quiet and the world felt numb. She has brought much healing and joy to our home with her gentleness.

And those who know me know how closely I bond with birds and have studied birds since my youth, including memorizing the birdsongs and chips of over 300 Northeastern (to the USA) wild birds. I've used this skill to help raise money for the Audubon Society.

Yes, I am the crazy bird lady next door.

For years, the 9 of Pentacles from the Fenestra Tarot (shown below, bottom right)  has been my Avatar on a the Aeclectic Tarot forum.

Above Decks: Universal Waite Tarot, Gilded Tarot

Mystic Dreamer Tarot, Fenestra Tarot

So as I sit this sunny summer morning, with my freshly brewed tea and my hair still uncombed, my nutty-fragranced avian friend and I share a familiar cuddle together.

I wonder whether you, too, might find echoes of this abundant card in our moment?

Did you know I used to rescue birds myself? I have none now (I have a Basenji who is too prey-driven to be trusted) but I love them.

As soon as I saw that first photo of you with your little friend, Harley, I KNEW that it would be the 9 of Pentacles for you!

I adore that quote - I've not encoutered it before. It's taken me a while to locate your blog for some reason for this blog hop - but glad that I found it in the end! Ali x

Thank you so much for sharing your reflections.

I have been enjoying my own 9 Pentacles moments, although our small town garden will never be the well ordered calm in your lovely cards. We actively encourage self seeding and only remove the ones that are sapping the life from the established plants.

This years juvenilles, hatched and reared in our garden, are enjoying breakfast on some well soaked morsels which my husband put out.

One of the local squirrel population also stopped by to dig up our lawn, and enjoyed a small prize for his efforts.

Such moments are precious, and we offer gratitude for their gifts. Brightest Blessings - FS xx
