Celebrate YOUR Sunrise (Tarot Blog Hop)

"At sunrise everything is luminous but not clear. It is those we live with and love and should know who elude us. You can love completely without complete understanding."

Sunrise.

The fire of bursting energy rising to meet the day.

It's the dailly ritual of our "soul light" shining on our world.

Some days the clouds may obscure it; other days it radiates like fire.

Where in your life are you rising to meet the challenge of the day?

How can you find YOUR personal sunrise?

 A SIMPLE SUNRISE SPREAD

TO FIND YOUR INNER LIGHT

Let's use a little mixed media today. I'll use the Nordic Runes to find an appropriate Tarot spread to explore our inner sunrise.

The runes will guide us to a tarot spread with their wisdom

The Runes above describe "Sunrise."

1) SOWILO, SUN LIGHT

The central rune, Sowilo, is the power of our movement, and the fiery energy of what gives us joy. It IS the rune of the Sun, of power, of light and of energy. It is our also internal inferno of life force that rises from within us, our own personal sunrise of the soul. Where do you find your personal light?

2) RAIDHO, MOVEMENT

The northern rune, Raidho, is about movement (over the horizon here) as well as our primary function. It is how we travel to transport our essential, shining nature, and how the sun rises each morning in movement of constancy. The sun needs to move to rise, and this is us rising to meet the occasion. How are you moving to shine your light on the world?

3) GEBO, GIFTS

The western rune is Gebo. This is about our gifts and, what we give through shining our light. The sun is a great gift that creates many gifts for us in our lives. How can your own gifts shine on the world?

4) JERA, HARVEST

The easternmost rune is Jera. This is about a harvest menifested through growth. Without the sun (or our inner light), there would be no harvest. Our life force creates what we harvest in our lives through our accomplishments, reaching goals, and finding success. How can your light create a harvest?

5) KENNAZ, CREATIVE FIRE

And the southern rune is Kennaz, our creative force. It is the work we do, our creative FIRE, and the process of how we change forces from one form to another, like photosynthesis in a leaf changing light energy to growth energy. How does your creative light change one force of energy to another?

RESULTING

SUNRISE TAROT SPREAD

Using the wisdom of the runes:

1) Where do you find your personal light (or what is it)?

2) How are you moving to shine your light on the world?

3) What gift(s) can your light shine on the world?

4) How can your light create growth or harvest for the world?

5) How does your creative light change one force of energy to another?

Here's wishing you a week of beautiful, personal radiating light.

I love the way you used runes to create a Tarot spread design! And what a great way to celebrate Litha, by discovering how the sun rises within us. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your post and look forward to using The Sunrise Tarot Spread later this week :)

. . . and, it resonated most to pull a 1a and 1b card, a "1a Where card" and a "1b What card."

Yes, very nice use of runes to suggest the spread. Did you pick the runes consciously ... or did you pull them by chance?

Wow. Love love love this spread! :D I've used Runes in the past. I'm struck by how clever this is to use one system to create a framework for another.

It's taking me ages to get around everyone's blog....but they are all so rewarding and I don't want to dash through them too quickly!

I have a set of runes that I have never used - I am now going to dig them out and figure out what use I can make of them!

Thank you for the Tarot spread - I've collected a handful of these on the blogs and I am very much looking forward to using yours. Finding my personal light would be a good step in the right direction for me right now lol!

Thank you Donnaleigh :-)
